  • Barnsely Domestic Violence Group - Database


  • The scope of this project was to implement a ‘system’ having an IT component, which could be used to record incidents of Domestic Violence (DV) in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. The project would monitor and analyse trends in DV within Barnsley (e.g. “are younger women victims of DV more than they were 18 months ago”). The scope did not extend to developing a case management tool.

  • Trent Study Group - HCV Study


  • The Trent Study Group, based at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham, was set up to investigate the causes of infection with Hepatitis C and comprises members from the National Blood Transfusion Service, QMC and a number of other hospitals in or adjacent to the Trent region, including Nottingham City, Scunthorpe, Derby, Sheffield and Leeds

  • University of Sheffield Radiology Department - MRI Database


  • The MRI Database, developed for The University of Sheffield’s Academic Department of Radiology, is our oldest system. The MRI Scanner at The Royal Hallamshire Hospital had been in operation for 3 years and had performed scans on about 1000 patients, when, in 1993 Illuminaries was commissioned to develop a specialist radiology administration system to manage MR scan episodes, appointments, reporting and billing.

  • Community Paediatrics, St James' Hospital - Database design. Data migration.


  • A new Child Protection database developed by Sheffield based software house, Illuminaries Ltd, went live in June to support the work of Community Paediatrics at Leeds Teaching Hospitals.  The new browser based, patient management system, holding clinical records and images of reported child abuse, is accessible to clinicians and secretarial staff from Leeds Teaching Hospitals sites across the city.
